Nathan Beales is a 21-year-old recently-qualified sports journalist looking to bring his experience and skills to a media environment. He is currently a freelance journalist who contributes to the Bury Free Press newspaper where he covers Stowmarket Town FC and Stowmarket Rugby Club. Nathan has also written for newspapers such as the East Anglian Daily Times, the Ipswich Star, the Newmarket Journal, the Diss Express, the Haverhill Echo and the Suffolk Free Press. He has also contributed articles and video packages for Shoot Monthly, soccerlens, StaffsLive and several other blogging websites. During the last three years, Nathan has produced feature articles, match previews/reports and various sport and news stories. He has conducted numerous face-to-face and telephonic interviews as well as editing and laying out other sports stories. He graduated from Staffordshire University in 2012 and is projected to get a 2.1 degree in BA Hons Sports Journalism. At Staffordshire, Nathan gained a capable use of shorthand, an understanding and knowledge of media law, writing concise and accurate sports stories and the creation and editing of video, radio and other multimedia packages. |
